Most applications for our Auxiliary Petrol Tanks concern 4 x 4 vehicles where the owner does not wish  to have the LPG tank fitted inside the vehicle.  The original petrol tank therefore has to be removed in order to fit the LPG tank beneath the vehicle, and a specially designed smaller auxiliary petrol tank is then fitted alongside the LPG tank. Some saloon car owners also request this, so as not to reduce the boot capacity by having the LPG tank fitted there.

Our Auxiliary Petrol Tanks are 'Heavy-Duty' units, and all are especially designed to use existing mountings wherever possible, in order to minimise installation time.  Prices naturally vary for various tanks for different models of vehicle.  Our Trade Prices are competitive and quantity discounts are also available.

All tanks are double welded (inside and out) to ensure that you can offer your customers the highest quality product available.  Mild Steel tanks are made from 3mm thick 'CR4' quality steel, and are either powder coated or painted with a rust resistant black plastic polymer finish.  

Each tank is pressure tested to 10 p.s.i (0.65bar) to ensure that the highest possible standards are met.

Safety Note

Aluminium tanks are slightly lighter than either mild steel or stainless steel units, but for  all 4 x 4 vehicles (whether used ‘Off Road’ or not),  we would recommend steel units which are much stronger, and better able to withstand the impact from stones, gravel etc. thrown up by the wheels.
